History of Igboebinie Plc

By Prince Chinedu Nsoffor (Ichie Nzedike Oraifite, GNa, B.Sc., M.Phil.)

President, Igboebinie Plc | President, Mayrays Schools Ltd | Founder, Naturecracy Philosophy

Early Foundations (1980s–1990s)

The origins of Igboebinie Plc trace back to the mid-1980s during my postgraduate studies at the Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt. It was during this period that I developed a deep awareness of the potential of the human mind—an insight that shaped my subsequent work in leadership, development, and institution-building.

After relocating to Onitsha in 1987, I gained practical experience in business and administration while managing Gunco Nigeria Ltd. This period provided valuable lessons in organizational development and highlighted the need for sustainable structures within Igbo commercial enterprises.

Motivated by a desire to strengthen continuity and promote collective investment, I helped establish Masterstone Foundation School (1991) alongside six Directors, and Oganiru Community Bank (1994) with five Directors. These early ventures reinforced the importance of strong governance and long-term planning.

Birth of a Philosophical Framework — Naturecracy

My involvement in public advocacy began through the Environmental Upbuilding Club (1989), which promoted environmental awareness, tree planting, and community cleanliness across schools and local governments in Anambra and Delta States. After over a decade of leadership in this movement, it became clear that deeper ideological foundations were needed to sustain societal transformation.

This realization inspired the creation of Naturecracy Philosophy—a framework built on studying the efficiency of natural systems and applying those principles to human development. Naturecracy emphasizes:
•Zero Corruption
•Professionalism
•Accountability
•Efficiency

To support its application, the philosophy was organized into the Naturecracy Pentagon Projects, covering education, governance, health, wealth creation, and environment.

Naturecracy’s impact led to engagements with the Anambra State Government under Governor Chinwoke Mbadinuju, where I served as Special Consultant on Environment and later as Managing Director of ANSEPA. The Environmental Upbuilding Club was also listed in the UNICEF Directory of NGOs/CSOs (2002).

Expanding Collaborations and Community Projects

Over the years, Naturecracy attracted individuals and groups committed to building sustainable institutions. This resulted in:
•Mayrays Schools Ltd (30-member initiative)
•ONEICO Estate Recreation Center (50-member group)
•Moonlight Estate, Oba (over 1,000 members)
•Igwebuike Estate, Oba (nine coordinated clubs)

These projects demonstrated increasing interest in structured, community-driven development.

TIIJA Project and the Path Toward a Mega Initiative (2020–2023)

During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Naturecracy International initiated radio broadcasts across Odenigbo FM and City FM, encouraging Ndigbo to explore cooperative economic structures as a response to emerging socio-economic challenges.

This gave rise to the TIIJA Project, which mobilized communities across the South-East states and advocated for a unified mega investment vehicle for industrial advancement. The concept of a region-wide cooperative investment platform began to take shape and would eventually evolve into what is known today as Igboebinie Plc.

The idea of symbolically reconnecting the region through a landmark structure, such as a 50-storey tower, was also introduced during this period and would later be integrated into the broader Igboebinie vision.

The Birth of Igboebinie (2023–2024)

On 19 October 2023, I delivered a presentation at Rock Foundation Fire Ministry, Onitsha, where discussions with community leaders led to refining the name and identity of the new initiative. The term “Igboebinie” emerged organically as a unifying and forward-looking name, resonating deeply with attendees.

Shortly after, on 20 October 2023, a collaborative platform—Igboebinie World Trade City—was established, marking the beginning of structured mobilization and strategic planning.

To ensure clear organizational footing, Igboebinie Enterprises was registered on 18 December 2023, followed by the registration of Igboebinie Ltd on 12 August 2024.

Formalization and Expansion — Emergence of Igboebinie Plc (2025)

The vision matured with the approval and registration of Igboebinie Plc on 5 February 2025, marking a major milestone in the organization’s evolution.

During this period, leadership frameworks were also established, including:
•Igboebinie Board of Directors
•Igboebinie Management Council
•Igboebinie Diaspora Organization (IDO)
•Committees and State Coordinators

The Board later identified and recognized seven Pioneer Directors—individuals who played significant roles in shaping and stabilizing the movement. They include:
Prince Chinedu Nsoffor, High Chief Eberechukwu Enwena, Princess Nkiru Ezeani, Mark N, Dr. Olisa Mokelu, Chief Anthony Iloegesi, Mrs. Nkiruka Uzoka, and Mr. Chike Medolu.

Landmark Partnership and Institutional Strengthening

A defining moment occurred on 1 November 2025 with the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement between Igboebinie Plc and Hand of God Construction Company Ltd at Amadeo Event Center, Enugu.

Through this partnership:
•Hand of God Construction Company became the Funders and Constructors of Igboebinie projects
•Igboebinie Plc became the Offtaker
•The collaboration opened doors for land allocations from South-East State Governments to support large-scale development projects

This alliance marks the beginning of transformative infrastructure and economic initiatives across the region.

A Vision 36 Years in the Making

The journey of Igboebinie Plc is an evolutionary process spanning more than three decades—beginning from:
•Environmental Upbuilding Club
•Naturecracy International
•MICOL
•TIIJA Project
•Igboebinie Enterprises
•Igboebinie Ltd
•And now, Igboebinie Plc

At its core, Igboebinie Plc represents a Wealth Creation Project of Naturecracy, built on shared values, structured collaboration, and a collective aspiration for a prosperous Igboland within the Nigerian Federation.

Looking Forward

We express profound gratitude to God for guiding the vision from inception to realization. As Igboebinie Plc continues to grow, we remain committed to unity, professionalism, and sustainable development.
